Grab Hire

What is Grab hire?

Grab Hire is a good alternative to mini diggers, skips and many other solutions. They are Self-loading using a hydraulic grab bucket. Compared with skips a grab lorry can collect greater volumes of muck, green waste, timber and rubble making it ideal for large projects that require waste to be removed quickly.  Another plus to hiring a grab  over a skip is that you do not require a permit from the council although you should probably let your neighbours know!

A grab lorry has the ability to pick up waste directly from any location, as long as there is reasonable access, which means no matter where your site is situated, our grab lorries can navigate the terrain to collect waste on-site.

We’ve supported a number of large-scale projects across the UK with grab hire, including building contractors, commercial projects, landscapers, and roadworks.

We Help You to Complete Successful Projects Fast

Our Grab hire services:

  • Our grab lorry will arrive onsite, collect your waste, and take it away in no time. We can remove your waste in just one visit, whether it’s soil, brick, rubble or stone. An essential component to keeping any construction project working harmoniously.

  • There’s also no need to decide on your waste amount in advance, like with skip hire. Complete your work, pile up the waste, and let our lorries come to do the work.

  • The grab arm which is attached to each grab lorry also has the ability to reach 7.5 metres from the side of the vehicle, meaning it can work over walls, fences and street furniture in order to collect waste. This allows good accessibility on restricted sites, especially those that are located in a public area. Even the most awkward, hard to reach sites can be accessed in most cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far can a grab reach?

Grab lorries can reach up to 8 metres with a double extension attached.

Where do I leave my waste for a grab hire?

The place you choose for your waste is crucial to the efficiency of its removal. Ensure that you place it out in the open, away from low hanging tree branches and cables, positioned in a place that allows the driver to pull up directly alongside the waste.
